Job Description: AGW is currently seeking an Entry Level Lab Technician (Part-Time). The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting lab testing of soils and concrete in accordance with appropriate ASTM, AASHTO, or company policies and procedures.

As a Lab Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our geotechnical / materials testing projects by performing a variety of tests (including but not limited to swell/consolidation, atterberg limits, sieve analysis, proctor, hydrometer tests and sample storage, grinding of soils, concrete compressive strength testing), and also maintaining field equipment on a regular basis. May also run errands to field job sites, and to pick up equipment and vehicles for company fleet. Clean driving record is required. Weekend work may be required. Flexible hours up to 29 hours per week.

Required Skills:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Able to carry out verbal and written instructions effectively.
• Able to retrieve and interpret information from technical manuals.
• Able to enter data in a computer program
• Able to perform wide range of physical activities, including sustained walking, bending, twisting, standing and reaching, and perform medium to heavy work including occasionally lifting over 50 pounds
• Must be able to pass a pre employment physical and drug test and have a clean background

• Satisfactory completion of a drug test and a workplace physical.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with the company automobile insurance policy guidelines.

Benefits: Paid sick time

Wage range: $19.00 to $22.00 an hour
