Job Description: AGW is currently seeking applicants for a Geotechnical Staff Engineer position. The applicant should have some field or material testing experience and be working toward their Professional Engineer registration. Ideally, they should be proficient at soils identification but we are willing to train and expose the applicant to these types of experiences if need be. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing field and office documentation for publication, performing soil investigations which would include assigning laboratory testing/evaluating lab results, and providing foundation recommendations for shallow and deep foundation design under supervision of a licensed Engineer. Time will be spent both in the office and in the field on jobsites where work is occurring.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (ABET Accredited University) and who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
Required Skills: 1 to 4 years of local experience with a geotechnical engineering firm performing work along the Front Range of Colorado. Candidate must have great attitude and work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, clean driving record, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical, and a strong desire to help make our firm grow!
