Job Description: AGW is currently seeking applicants for an Entry Level Geotechnical Staff Engineer position. Field experience is a must for young geotechnical engineers when starting your engineering career. To start, duties include field materials testing and evaluation, field site visits during development and construction of new projects from land development through construction, and logging and classification of soils in the field and lab. Future progression into your engineering career includes reviewing field and office documentation for publication, performing soil investigations which would include assigning laboratory testing/evaluating lab results, and providing foundation recommendations for shallow and deep foundation design.
Education: Recent graduates who have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET Accredited University) and who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (Preferred but not required).
Required Skills: Entry level up to 2 years of local experience with a geotechnical engineering firm performing work along the Front Range of Colorado. Candidate must have great attitude and work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, clean driving record, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical, and a strong desire to help make our firm grow!
