Job Description: AGW is currently seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team. 

Geotechnical Project Engineers at AGW are responsible for:

  • Performing visual classification of soil and bedrock samples
  • Programming lab testing of selected samples to obtain a full-picture of the subsurface conditions to provide development, pavement, and foundation recommendations
  • Performing settlement analysis, bearing capacity calculations, lateral earth pressure calculations, slope stability analysis, retaining wall design
  • Preparing geotechnical engineering reports for residential, commercial, industrial, and school projects
  • Performing site visits on various projects requiring day-trip travel only
  • Managing multiple projects and Clients in the Front Range area
  • Communications with clients, contractors, architects, municipalities, other engineers
  • Mentoring/training staff engineers and drilling technicians

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Geotechnical  Engineering
  • 5+years of experience working as a geotechnical engineer, preferably in the Denver Metro area
  • Professional Engineer registration in Colorado or ability to gain reciprocity in Colorado within 6 months

Any offer of employment will be contingent upon:

  • Verification of your right to work in the United States, as demonstrated by your completion of the I-9 form upon hire and your submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the I-9 form) verifying your identity and work authorization within three days of starting employment.
  • Satisfactory completion of a drug test and a workplace physical.
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with the company automobile insurance policy guidelines.
